Standard Loft Boarding – Pre 2000 / Old Builds – Unsuitable For New Builds

Joist cross-bracing is used to elevate the floor above the existing insulation by 100/175mm. This method ensures the thermal insulation level is maintained and your U-Value is not compromised.It also provides protection against stress on the ceilings beneath. Full length timbers are used for additional strength.

Suited for thin-medium loft insulation such as the 100mm Earthwool that we install.
